Op onze redactie krijgen we steeds vaker de volgende vraag van toekomstige trouwers: “Hallo! Wij willen graag een einduur vermelden op onze huwelijksuitnodiging, maar we weten niet goed hoe we dit moeten formuleren en of dit eigenlijk gedaan wordt?”
We merken sinds de coronapandemie dat bruidsparen hun trouwdag anders invullen dan voorheen. Opvallend is ook dat er koppels zijn die helemaal geen dansfeest plannen of wanneer ze dat wel doen, op een ‘deftig’ uur willen afsluiten.
Dit kan verschillende redenen hebben: zo kan het zijn dat ze een trouwweekend gepland hebben en er de ochtend nadien een andere activiteit op het programma staat. Ook vaak gehoord: het feestpakket in onze feestzaal loopt af om 02:00u ’s nachts en we moeten veel bijbetalen als het feest nog zou uitlopen.
Onze oplossing hiervoor is: plan een laatste dans en vermeld dit op de trouwkaart. Als je werkt met een tijdlijn op je huwelijksuitnodiging schrijf je ’01:00 uur: Laatste dans bruidspaar’ of als jouw uitnodiging enkel tekst bevat, dan zeg je iets in de stijl van:
“Om 24 uur dansen wij onze laatste dans en wuiven we jullie uit”.
Moet je laatste dans per se gekoppeld zijn aan het einde van je trouwfeest? Neen, helemaal niet. Er zijn bruidsparen die hopen te feesten tot in de vroege uurtjes. Hoe dan ook is het ook voor die trouwers iets om over na te denken, want het heeft wel een meerwaarde zo’n laatste dans op een bruiloft. Je geeft je gasten een mooie, blijvende herinnering aan jullie trouwdag, in het bijzonder als je dat op een heel toepasselijke song doet.
2. Laatste dans op trouwfeest: welke songs?
Wanneer het aankomt op de keuze van de song voor je laatste dans, dan heb je verschillende opties. Doorgaans is het een romantische slow of een superbekend, upbeat nummer. Het genre muziek waar jullie als koppel uiteindelijk voor zullen kiezen, hangt af van jullie persoonlijke muzieksmaak. Voor wie het graag lekker klassiek houdt is “Last Dance” van Donna Summer een uitstekende keuze. ( Trouwens dit is begrijpelijk ook een van meest populaire keuzes.). Moderne hits zijn ook een goede keuze, want laat op de avond dans je met minder schroom dan tijdens de openingsdans. Wij dachten bijvoorbeeld aan “Feel So Close” van Calvin Harris of “The Time(Dirty Bit)” van The Black Eyed Peas.
3. Laatste dans op trouwfeest: enkel het bruidspaar?
Ook hier zijn er geen echte regels en heb je de vrijheid om dit te doen zoals je zelf het beste lijkt. Als je nog een romantisch momentje wil met je nieuwbakken echtgeno(o)t(e), kies dan een rustig nummer om een intiem moment te creëren en de focus weer op jullie tweetjes te leggen.
Wil je daarentegen jouw trouwfeest afsluiten met een knaller van jewelste, kies dan voor een high-energy song waarbij alle gasten op de dansvloer gesleurd worden. De keuze ligt volledig bij jullie zelf en de stijl van jullie bruiloft.
