Trendy trouwjurken in 2022

Een voorproefje van de nieuwste bruidsmode en de trendy trouwjurken in 2022 die vanaf vandaag hun debuut op New York Bridal Fashion Week zullen maken.

De tijd vliegt en we kunnen het niet geloven, maar kijk Bridal Fashion Week New York staat weer voor de deur. Twee keer per jaar vergapen bruidjes en bruidsjournalisten zich aan de nieuwste collecties trouwjurken van topdesigners wereldwijd. We onthullen graag welke de trendy trouwjurken in 2022 worden.

Amerika meets Europa en het midden-Oosten

Akkoord de focus ligt op Amerikaanse brands zoals Anne Barge, Marchesa, Amsale, Lili Hod, Hailey Paige en Makarian, maar ook niet-Amerikaanse brands wijken steeds vaker uit naar New York. Dit jaar zijn bijvoorbeeld ook Elisabetta Polignano, Galia Lahav, Eisen-Stein, Jesus Peiro en Halfpenny London met hun trouwjurken van de partij. We kijken ook uit naar nieuw talent en de eerste bruidscollecties van Andrew Kwon, Wiederhoeft, Nordeen, Scorcesa en PatBo.

Trouwjurken spotten?

Voor toekomstige bruiden ligt er heel wat moois in het verschiet en bovendien kunnen alle modeshows online gevolgd worden. Daar waar je normaal gezien een felbegeerde uitnodiging nodig hebt om toegang te krijgen tot de presentaties op Bridal Fashion Week, is het ook dit keer weer een online event dat ook jij gemakkelijk mee kan volgen. We hopen dat je tonnen inspiratie opdoet en de trouwjurken ( #help!) van je dromen spot.

De designercollecties beloven alvast een nieuw begin te zijn. Een frisse wind ook, waarnaar we allemaal gesnakt hebben na een jaar coronaperikelen. We contacteerden verschillende designers met de vraag waar hun nieuwe bruidscollectie van 2022 voor stond. Werkten ze rond een bepaald thema? Waar haalden ze hun inspiratie? “For my debut bridal collection, ‘Collection 1 – Reminiscence’, I started by listening to the scores from some of our generation’s most gifted composers—like Max Richter (The Leftovers), Carlos Rafael Rivera (The Queen’s Gambit), and Johann Johansson (The Theory of Everything)—who are all able to convey emotion, strength, and beauty through music. For me, bridging that concept through bridal was paramount and sparked a flood of emotions and memories.

Attending my mother’s wedding as a teenager was moving and showed me the resilience brides possess, but also the innate beauty that each woman carries in her everyday life.
